Due
to huge demand, both of the organised breakfast blats are now
fully booked.
However,
in order to avoid disappointment, we are able to offer an
alternative. We have devised an informal route taking in many of
the great driving roads and beautiful countryside and villages
that were included on the original routes.
It
is a circular route starting at the showground, with a choice of
either finishing back at the showground or at the Lotus factory at
Hethel. Travel time is between an hour and a half and two hours at
normal pace. This is assuming that you do not stop anywhere to
explore.
The
only difference is that there is no breakfast venue on the route.
We have therefore arranged for a caterer to provide breakfast (to
purchase at reasonable cost) on the Royal Norfolk Showground from
7:30 AM onwards on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Those who
are staying in hotels could of course take a leisurely breakfast
there.
The
blat can be started at any time you like on either Saturday or
Sunday. We just ask that you do not travel in organised groups and
that you do not leave the showground before 9:30 AM. This is in
order to prevent the club from breaking the terms of the existing
MSA exemption certificates.
If
you have recently sent an application form and have not yet
received blat vouchers, your cheque will be returned to you
together with this notice as a covering letter.
Because
the breakfast is not pre-paid, there will not be a charge for the
informal blat route. The route book will be included free of
charge in your welcome pack on arrival at the Royal Norfolk
Showground. None of the activities planned for the weekend,
including the two organised blats, are profit making. All
of the activities are organised by club members and many are
funded in part by the Lotus Seven club.
We
do hope that you enjoy this alternative - An informal tour of
Norfolk. |
